The home maker Episode 1
This is an story about the
life of an Homemaker named
Lakshmi who works 24/7 a day.
Her world revolves around her
husband and her three grown
up children 👶👧👦. Her life
seemed to be smooth until she
realised that she is a puppet in
their hands. Will she create an
identity and prove herself?
Episode 1
Lakshmi's birthday
One fine day, Lakshmi
was busy with her house hold
works. She received a call from
her mom. Like every other
homemaker she was afraid that
something had happened to her
mom as her mom called in early
morning but her mom said
" Happy birthday Lakshmi". She
then realised its her birthday.
Her mom compels her to go to
temple. Lakshmi refuses as she
has not completed her work.
Her mother did not leave, she
asks to take Lakshmi's husband,
Kannan also with her. Lakshmi
says " Please stop i will go to
temple, Don't worry" and puts
off the phone. Without
completing her work and
without informing anyone, She
changes her new dress and goes
to temple.
Kannan gets up at 6.30 and calls
" Lakshmi to come to his room".
Her first son Ram keeps on
calling " Amma amma" after his
workout. Her mother in law
sumathi calls " Lakshmi
Lakshmi " after waking up. Her
father in law Sridar says to
Sumathi don't shout, she may
have gone out and she will be
back soon. Kannan is reading
paper and Lakshmi comes back
from temple. Kannan is angry
and asks " Where were you all
this time" . Without hearing
Lakshmi's reply he started to
scold her for not giving coffee
at correct time. Added to that he
says
" You are simply sitting in
home and not doing any
work"
and asks her to leave the place.
Sumathy asked Lakshmi " Don't
you know there are lots of work
in home? ", Sridar supported
Lakshmi and asked her to bring
a hot coffee.
The family sits for
breakfast and complains about
chapati. She then gave the sweet
given by the temple and asked
" Do you know why i went to
temple today ". No one cared
for her words. She kept just on
telling about her temple visit
but no one reacted. Her
daughter kavya asked her dad
to come to PTM meeting at
school. Lakshmi told " I will
come". Kaviya insulted Lakshmi
saying " You are not fit to come
for PTM, as you don't know
English ". Lakshmi feels
humiliated. Later at night
Lakshmi feels sad as no one
knew her birthday. She hears
crackers bursting sound and to
her suprise her second son, Jai
shouts "Happy BIRTHDAY
AMMA" . The family then
recognises Lakshmi' birthday
and wishes her.
