Kamarajar - Father of
Education
Life of Kamarajar :
Kamarjar was called as father
of Education. Due to his poverty he was
able to study only till sixth standard. He
worked in his uncle cloth shop and
always had an idea of politics. He joined
in various movements, he worked hard
and became Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Various projects of Kamarajar :
Kamarajar was the man
of simplicity. He had only four cotton
Shirts and pant, 350 rs as his property.
Once when he was going in his car near
a field he saw small boys working in
the field. He stopped the car and went
near them and asked " Why are you
working in field and not going to
school ? ". The kids replied sir, if we go
to school who will feed our family.
Kamarajar brought in the "Midway Meal
Scheme". Kamarjar's idea worked out
many kids started coming to school. He
then thought there are many villages
without school and he started his journey
to villages in search of schools. He
constructed many schools and gave free
education to all kids. So he was named as
Father of education. He constructed
many dams and built hospital in remote
areas.

Kamarajar was a real life hero.
Like hero he has helped many people and
has fought for the rights of people. His
simplicity and the way he leads his life
has inspired many people.
